Conveyor Attachments and Accessories To Have on Hand

Conveyor attachments are a great way to add value and functionality to your conveyor system. Here are some of the best conveyor attachments and accessories to have on hand.

Guards

Conveyor guards prevent your product from toppling off the conveyor as it moves. They line the sides of the conveyor and create a short barrier. This attachment is an excellent investment if you are struggling with product or package damage from items falling off the conveyor.

Guards are manufactured in both adjustable and fixed styles. No matter which you choose, these are excellent conveyor attachments to have on hand.

Cleats

Cleats are attached additions to incline conveyors that assist with moving products or packages. These come in a variety of shapes, but the most common are regular and bucket shaped.

Regular cleats are usually three or four inches tall and sit perpendicular to the surface of the conveyor belt. When the package goes up the incline conveyor, these cleats provide support and prevent the package from sliding back down the conveyor. This also allows the conveyor to run effectively at a sharper angle.

Bucket-shaped cleats are U-shaped and similar in height. These are very handy to move loose items such as mulch or soil.

Discharge Chute

If you already have one of our portable incline conveyors, a discharge chute is an excellent addition to improve its performance. Our RM-Series conveyors are the best in the business when it comes to moving fiber or ice on the go.

To further increase their functionality, invest in a discharge chute. A discharge directs material away from the main portion of the conveyor. You can use this to funnel loose material while on the job.
